Our Clinitian

Dr. James Seay served as the Director of Music and Worship at First United Methodist Church in Tuscaloosa for ten years before joining the staff at First United Methodist Church Montgomery in the summer of 2015. He has also served as the Director of Music at Hunts Memorial United Methodist Church in Baltimore, MD and Canterbury United Methodist Church in Birmingham. Dr. Seay has served as the Chair for Music in Worship for the State of Alabama ACDA Chapter. He also remains active as a performer of both opera and concert repertoire as a young dramatic tenor. Dr. Seay holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Birmingham- Southern College, a Master of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory of John-Hopkins University, and received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Alabama.
